Welcome from the Chairman
Gilberdyke Cricket Club is an open, friendly club that tries very hard to
make a contribution to its community. It is a small but well-run club, playing
competitive Saturday cricket in the East Yorkshire Alliance and the East Riding
Independent League. Our juniors play mid-week in the Hunsley and District Junior
league. The Club runs an active junior coaching programme.
We welcome new members at any time. There are many ways to get involved in the
club…..as committee member, sponsor, parent of a junior player, umpire or
whatever. The possibilities are pretty limitless.
We are also, always on the lookout for playing members to improve our teams. If
you would like to play cricket, even on an occasional basis, we can probably
accommodate you. If you want to be involved as player or in any of the ways
outlined above, in the first instance contact me (01430 430248) or Andy Pitts
(01430 440167) ..or indeed anyone involved in the club.
Very Best Wishes
Don Rhodes
(Honorary Chairman, Gilberdyke Cricket Club)
PS Please have a look at the Gilberdyke Cricket Club
history, it is an interesting read and if you're local
to the area, I am sure there are some names you will recognise.
