GILBERDYKE CRICKET CLUB :- Currently have nine qualified E.C.B. coaches as follows :- Andy Pitts E.C.B. Level 2 Steve Mann E.C.B. Level 1 Dave Mell E.C.B. Level 1 Chris Pitts E.C.B. Level 1 Neil Butler UK Level 2 Tom Bonser UK Level 1 Matthew Butler UK Level 1 Lewis Rooney UK Level 1 Dan Bonser UK Level 1 All the above coaches have had training in child protection, emergency first aid and have also been screened for their suitability in working with young children, this is now a regulatory requirement of the sports governing body, The England & Wales Cricket Board. The club coaching team make regular visits to local schools during term time and hold a junior fun day during the school summer holidays, the club view this as an important aspect of building strong links between local schools and the cricket club. Four members of the coaching team obtained their E.C.B. coaching in schools module certificate in Jan 2010. This is now an E.C.B. requirement for those coaches wishing to work in schools. Coaching sessions take place during the summer details on Latest News page. All sessions will take place at the ground, in case of doubt over weather, please phone the relevant contact. Confirmation of commencing and finishing dates for the above will be posted on the club website.
